Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in the combat sports. Aspen Ladd trained in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her professional debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd went on an impressive 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent within the first round. Then she returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. It left a blemish on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and won via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen used her superior grappling skills to defeat McGill and ended her fight via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) in a "catchweight"(138.1lb) as Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy through TKO. In her last fight for this promotion, Ladd defeated Sijara Eubanks in a an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina with a pound and grind to her before prevailing by TKO during the second round. She repeated her dominance and racked up an stunning victory in her next bout against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd was victorious in the first round and received the Performance of the Night Prize. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's first major match. Both fighters put up a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters received an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. in the 3rd round on UFC on ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via majority decision.
